Malang Beats Aashiqui 2 To Become Aditya Roy Kapur’s Solo Highest Opening Weekend Grosser At The Box-Office!
Malang Becomes Aditya's Highest Weekend Grosser
Updated : February 10, 2020 02:55 PM ISTAditya Roy Kapur has not always been very lucky in the film industry. The actor, who started out as a video jockey, soon made a shift to films where he did small supporting roles. He slowly but steadily got lead roles and made an impact with Aashiqui 2. But, most of his solo movies after Aashiqui 2 would fail to make big bucks at the box-office. In fact, his last year’s multi-starrer, Kalank too failed. But it seems like times are changing for him finally! His last release, Malang, has not beaten Aashiqui 2 to become his solo highest opening weekend grosser ever.

Malang saw a leap in its collection on the weekend and on Day 3, i.e., on Sunday, it collected 9.76 crores INR. The total weekend collection of the film now stands at 25.36 crores INR. It has beaten Aashiqui 2 which had collected 20.50 crores INR by quite a margin.

If it maintains pace, it would definitely make around 30-35 crores INR till next Friday. However, with Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan up for release this Friday, the biz for Malang would definitely be hampered! What do you think would be the film’s lifetime collection? Let us know in the comments.
