Arjun Reddy, when it released, became an instant hit. The film, starring Vijay Deverakonda, has stirred controversies because of the kind of misogyny that it portrayed. However, the audiences loved it and people swooned over the titular character. But what made the film shine was Vijay Deverakonda’s stellar performance.
The film is getting a Hindi remake. Titled Kabir Singh and starring Shahid Kapoor, it is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who had also directed the Telugu original. Looking at the teaser, it was understood that other than the language, there would be very little difference in the Hindi remake. Shahid Kapoor in an interview called Kabir Singh as Arjun Reddy’s cousin, rather than his twin. But Kabir Singh’s trailer is proof that not only is it Arjun Reddy’s twin but is one of those that you had seen in Judwaa.
The scenes are absolutely the same as you have seen in Arjun Reddy. So if you have already watched the original film, you won’t have much to discover here. But if you haven’t, the chances of which are more, then you are up for a well- made and impactful trailer.
The trailer tracks Kabir’s journey, a man with no sympathy or compassion, who is borderline perversion and absolutely alcoholic and self-destructive. The trailer also tracks the reason why Kabir is so- Preeti, the love of his love and the person he was mad about.
The trailer has its own shock value and has been so well edited that you’ll almost hoot for this one. It will prompt you to react.
Shahid Kapoor looks impeccable as Kabir Singh. He carries and shows both love and aggression with the same brilliance.
Kiara Advani looks stunning as the shy but passionate Preeti. It is her beauty that screams on screen.
But what we absolutely loved about the trailer was the song that was playing in the background. It is a beautiful original composition which we can’t wait for and which will definitely rule the charts. Check out the trailer here:
