Takht To Release On Christmas Next Year

The film will not just be the first period film that Karan Johar will direct, but it is also being touted as his magnum opus. Given the stellar str cats, we had been excited about the project the moment it had been announced. Sadly, the film did not even go on floors yet. But now, it looks like the wait if finally over. KJo has not only shared the first motion poster for the film, but has also revealed its release date.

Taking to social media, the director shared the first motion poster of Takht. The film would be set against the backdrop of the Mughal empire. In the motion poster, we just see the Takht or the throne. The voiceover says how the way to the Mughal crown was through the coffins of their near and dear ones. Had the way been governed by love, the history of India might have been different! The film is all set to release on 24th December 2021. Yes, it will be the big Diwali release next year. The principle photography of the film will begin in March. The film would have Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in key roles. Are you also excited? Let us know in the comments.
