Whenever there is a typical Bollywood love story coming up, we the audiences know what to expect. Mostly based in the sarson k khets of  Punjab, you will see stolen glances between the boy and the girl, the sudden realisation that they are in love with each other, then a person from nowhere would arrive -  a person chosen by the parents of the girl and then the fight for love begins. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is that, and much more!

The question that would arise now is how is this love story not stereotypical! Well, because this is one of those rare films that has decided to explore same-sex relationship!

The story is about the character played by Sonam Kapoor, who wishes to get married someday. But there is a problem- she isn't a heterosexual perfectly fitting in the heteronormative society. She decides to keep this a secret until she confides it to Rajkummar Rao's character!

The trailer looks like a generic love story until the twist comes and it is so well-made. This is such a relief after the teaser that made us believe that this is just another love story on the block.

Not only can the film boast of solid performers, but going by the trailer, the frames look stunning. But the icing on the cake is the music. A lot of old songs have been remade, but these are the remixes that we can be proud of.
