10 Times Janhvi Kapoor Took Style Inspiration From Other Celebrities

The star kid has always been under media scrutiny because of her mother's superstar status, but upon growing up also, she became somewhat of a media darling. Even before her debut happened with Dhadak, the media was obsessed with her and one of the major factors behind this was her fashion game. Fresh, trendy and young, Jahnvi's style statement is a big hit media and young girls.
It is almost impossible to spot Janhvi in a less than flattering look, but there are times we spotted her wearing outfit or carrying style that was little too inspired by other celebrities. Here are 10 times Janhvi took some serious style inspiration from other celebrities.
Kapoor sister, Janhvi and Khushi, both seem to be a huge fan of Jenner sisters, Kylie and Kendall. The two are often spotted seeking style inspirations from Kylie and Kendall and even in this picture Janhvi can be seen sporting the same shredded white T-shirt that Kendall rocked a little while back. While Kendall styled it with her signature boots and a trench coat, Janhvi went for a more easy-breezy look and paired it with a skirt and left hair loose, unlike Kendall who went for a middle-parted ponytail with the ensemble.
During the promotions of her film Dhadak, Janhvi opted for this beautiful lavender Ritika Mirchandani outfit while promoting Dhadak at Chandigarh. The Patiala set with her beautiful hairstyle was a perfect fresh and young look for the actress. However, the dress gave us a feeling of major déjà-vu, and we found out that Urvashi Rautela wore the exact same Ritika Mirchandani number while launching the AZA Holiday collection in May. Although Janhvi copied the outfit from Urvashi, we think Janhvi looked prettier in the number than Urvashi did.
This one is serioualy funny. Not only Janhvi and Camilla wore the same dress, they both wore it for a magazine shoot. Janhvi wore the sexy Alessandra Rich skirt and crop top for her photoshoot with Vogue India and this picture showed up on June 2018 issue. However, the fashion police was quick to point out that it was the exact same dress that popular Riverdale star, Camilla Mendes wore when she appeared on the February 2018 cover of US Cosmopolitan magazine.
As mentioned before, both Kapoor sisters, Janhvi and Khushi are huge fans of international celebrity sister duo Kendall and Kim Jenner. After the shredded top, Janhvi was again seen sporting a look that was identical to that of Kendall Jenner. From the all black outfit, to jacket thrown on the shoulder to even the middle parted loose hair, Janhvi looked like a clone of Kendall in this picture. In fact, apart from different shoes and Kendall’s sunnies on her head they would look like they were twinning.
While Janhvi is often seen taking a leaf out of Kendall Jenner’s style book, it is not that she does not copy the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, the cosmetic mogul Kylie Jenner. In this picture, Janhvi can be seen sporting what happens to be Kylie’s signature look. From the tucked white gunjee to the slightly distressed denim to the statement choker, Janhvi is totally inspired by Kylie in this one. Even their poses in the particular picture look kind of the same.
Well to be honest, for all girls their initial fashion sensibilities are always inspired by their moms. And when your mom is the fashion icon and superstar Sridevi, it is impossible not to follow her footsteps in terms of fashion. During Dhadak promotion we saw Janhvi in this beautiful pink Jade ensemble with sequined jacket which instantly reminded of mom Sridevi donning something very similar. In fact, had Sridevi dress not been from a different brand, AM PM, we would have assumed that Janhvi took the same dress and did some modification to it.
It is not for the first time that Janhvi copied Urvashi Rautela’s style when the actress sported a similar outfit for her Chandigarh promotion that was previously worn by the Hate Story 4 actress. While attending the Grand fashion show of International Coutureir Stephano Ricci in Florence in 2017 with mom Sridevi, Janhvi wore this beautiful bohemian printed Rippi Sethi gown which complimented her really well. However, Urvashi wore the exact same gown in 2016 while promoting her film Great Grand Masti.
Janhvi’s love for Kendall Jenner’s fashion does not seem to fade away anytime soon. Janhvi was seen sporting this shimmery and strappy cowl neck top, which honestly looked a little tacky on her. But the bigger problem is, it looked eerily similar to the risqué cowl neck micro dress that Kendall rocked on her 21st birthday. A little more research will reveal that Kendall herself was not being very original with this outfit idea as it was almost the same top that socialite Paris Hilton wore for her 21st birthday. Just that, Janhvi’s top was a modest version of this risqué number that were worn by these two international fashion icons.
If Janhvi’s love for Kendall and her style is unwaivering, her love for the other Jenner sister is also pretty solid. Both Kylie and Janhvi were spotted wearing the same rust color dress. While Janhvi wore it during a family holiday in Italy, Kylie wore the dress for an even of Kylie cosmetics. To be honest the beautiful rust color suit both the beauties perfectly and we really cannot pick a favorite in this case. However, in terms of differences, we think Janhvi’s dress had a slightly different neck that that of Kylie’s dress.
Recently we spotted Janhvi in this shimmery and feathery Ralph & Russo number for Vogue Beauty Awards 2018 where she won the Fresh Face Of The Year Award. Styled by cousin Rhea Kapoor, Janhvi looked gorgeous but we were not a big fan of the dress. It reminded us of the Ziad Nakad couture creation that mom Sridevi sported. To be honest, if someone like Sridevi cannot pull of a style, there are slim chances anybody would, even her daughter.
