The fit actor had started off as a model but soon gained popularity and was given the lead role in his debut serial, Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na and then there was no looking back But the serial that made him a popular household name was Balika Vadhu where he played the ideal husband Shiv. This was the time when he even appeared in a Dharma film- Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
But however he might be on-screen, looks like he is controversy's favourite child. In fact, many of his co-stars have even called him intimidating and the makers have labeled him as 'tantrum king'. But how is he really and do you know these facts about the Tv heart-throb?

Sidharth has also had his run-ins with the law. On the New Year’s Eve of 2014, Sidharth was booked for drunk driving and his license was also apparently seized. He was fined 2000 INR by Mumbai Traffic Police. He was arrested once again in July 2018 after his BMW lost control, hit three cars before ramming into the divider in Oshiwara. One person was even injured. He was let out on bail after paying a fine of INR 5000.
There have been allegations of unprofessional behavior against Sidharth Shukla. He was apparently thrown out of Dil Se Dil Tak owing to his repeated bad behavior. He got into an ugly fight with co-sctor Kunal Verma. Sidharth not only abused Kunal but also apparently threw water on him. In an interview, Kunal said, "He is an unprofessional maniac and a psycho. I think he needs a psychiatric treatment again. I heard he had gone to a rehab once and I think he needs to visit it again." He also created delays, had bizzare demands and often went into trouble with his co-stars.
In 2016, it was rumoured that the actor was apparently dating Bigg Boss star Tanishaa Mukherji. Post Tanishaa’s break-up with co-contestant Armaan Kohli, the two were apparently spotted in a coffee shop in Mumbai. The two had participated together in the game show Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7. Sidharth went on to win the show. The rumours were abuzz but both Sidharth and Tanishaa denied the allegations. It was also said that Sidharth was all set to marry a girl found by his parents, which eventually turned out to be false.
Sidharth Shukla graduated in interior designing from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design. He was all set to be an interior designer. He used to model in his college days and realized that he can earn more as a model. Therefore, he changed his career path. He won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 2004. In 2015, he won the Best Model Of The World title that was held in Turkey, becoming the first Asian to do so. He was also perhaps the only Indian model to have shot at the Great Wall Of China.
Sidharth wanted to make a mark in Bollywood post his big win. But he first joined TV. He debuted with Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na in 2008 where he played the lead role of Shubh Ranawat. He was seen in shows like Jaane Pehchaane Se Ye Ajnabbi as Veer Vardhan Singh and in Love U Zindagi as Rahul Aditya Kashyap before he got the most memorable role of Shiv in Balika Vadhu. He has also been seen in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhla Ja and Khatron Ke Khiladi , hosted a few shows before appearing once again in the daily soap, Dil Se Dil Tak.
In 2014, it was reported that Sidharth has signed a three-film deal with Dharma Productions. He was seen as Angad in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. He is portrayed in the film as the ideal man for marriage who possess a good job and a great nature. He played the role brilliantly and even received awards for his performance. He was awarded the Stardust Awards for Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male) for the film. But he was not seen in Bollywood anymore.
Sidharth had always played the ideal characters on screen. He has not been seen in any negative role. He rose to fame as Shiv who was the embodiment of perfect qualities. He was the kind of ideal husband in the show and the audience went head over heels for him. Even in his Bollywood debut, he was an ideal character. Moreover, he is tall and handsome. With that perfect physique, he became one of the favourite TV actors.
There were also rumours that Sidharth was probably dating his Dil Se Dil Tak co-star, Rashmi Desai. He was single and Rashmi has recently got a divorce from ex-husband Nandish Sandhu. The two politely refuted the rumours. But things took a bad turn when their off-screen relationship worsened. They had a fight on set and even refused to talk to each other at one point during the show. They both eventually left the serial and were replaced.
Sidharth was rumoured to be having a flig with Balika Vadhu co-star Smita Bansal, who played his on-screen mother-in-law. There were also reports that he was seeing Dhrasti Dhami around the same time. The two met on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Ja and connected really well. They were seen engaging in Twitter banters and host Maniesh Paul even joked about them. This was the time when Dhrasti was seeing her now husband Neeraj Khemkha. But their chemistry got everyone talking!
Sidharth Shukla was born on 12 December 1987 in Mumbai. His father’s name is Ashok Shukla as he worked as a civil engineer with the Reserve Bank of India. His mother’s name is Ritu Shukla and she is a home-maker. Apart from them, Sidharth also has two elder sisters. Sidharth had studied at St. Xavier's High School, Fort and as he has himself said, he was athletic in school. In fact, he represented his school in tennis and football.
