TV Celebs Who Had A Fallout With Ekta Kapoor Only To Reconcile Later
Updated : January 12, 2019 01:49 PM ISTIf there is one person who can be credited for revolutionizing the TV industry in India it is surely Ekta Kapoor. TV czarina, as she is often called, has not only redefined the TV milieu but is responsible for finding some of the biggest stars of the television world. While it is obvious that she has had some epic fallouts with some of the biggest TV, most of them being her own protégées, it is also true that no one who wants a career in TV wants to have Ekta as their enemy and thus most of them went for a reconciliation with the undisputed queen of TV.
Here are a few TV stars who had a fallout with Ekta Kapoor only to reconcile later
Parth Samthaan has been finalized to play the role of Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor’s much awaited reboot of super hit TV serial of the 2000s, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. For many people this might come across as a surprise as things have not been too cordial between the TV czarina Ekta Kapoor and the Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan star. During the controversy between Vikas Gupta and Parth Samthaan, Ekta was vocal in her support to Vikas that obviously soured her relationship with Parth. But by casting him in the reboot in this mega project Ekta has proved that she has indeed reconciled with the young tele star.
Sushant Singh Rajput might be a legit Bollywood star now, but it was Ekta who gave him his big break in her serial Pavitraa Rishta which made Sushant a household name. However, thing between the two became rough when Sushant quit his serial and said yes to Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che. However, the two reconciled again and Ekta almost finalized him and Kriti Sanon for Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend. But soon the news came that Sushant and Kriti have secretely signed Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta which miffed Ekta once again. However, the two have reconciled now and are back to having friendly relationship with each other.
Rajeev Khandelwal was one of the most popular finds of Ekta Kapoor who rose to fame with the character of Sujal in the hit TV show Kahiin To Hoga produced by Ekta production company Balaji telefilms. But thing turned sour when Rajeev declared that he could have made it big even without Ekat Kapoor and her backing. This, understandably, did not go down too well with Ekta who declared that she would never work with him again. This fight continued for long time but finally the two decided to let bygones be bygones and reconciled.
This was one of the most famous fall outs of the TV world. Smriti Irani was the leading lady of Ekta Kapoor’s biggest hits Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thhi which is a legend in its own right. The two ladies also shared a great bond but things went kaput when they had an ugly spat and Smriti quit the show. Ekta replaced her with Gautami Kapoor but the TRPs took a serious hit and thus Ekta had to reconcile and bring her back on the show.
Often known as the Big B of television, Ronit Roy also owes his success to Ekta Kapoor. He played the role of Rishabh Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagi Kay and also played Mihir in Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thhi, which are two of Ekta’s most successful shows. However things went sour owing to the creative differences between the two. However, the two soon reconciled and Ronit said he is grateful for everything Ekta has done for him and the two always speak highly of each other now.
Kushal Tandon has always been known for his way of picking fights. He ridiculed Anita Hassanandani on Twitter over her show Naaginn 3 which did not go down too well with the producer of the show Ekta Kapoor. What followed was a very public battle of wits between the two celebrities on Twitter. Seeing the situation going out of hand, both acted maturely and quickly lightened the situation with friendly banter. We guess Kushal did not want to lose out on future opportunities by picking up a silly fight with the TV czarina herself.
She is one of Ekta’s closest friends today and is also close to Ekta’s family. But things went sour between the two when Anita felt that Ekta was giving precedence to Prachi Desai over her by casting her in Ekta’s Bollywood home production Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. Anita felt she was being sidelined and the two had a fallout. However, things turned better when Ekta cast Anita in her production Ragini MMS 2 and with shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and more recently Naaginn 3, it is clear that the friendship between the two is back on track.
Talking about another protégée of Ekta, Prachi Desai, things between the two has also gone through a rocky patch. Ekta once reportedly stormed out of a lunch with Prachi and a couple of other friends and was livid with Prachi. While the real reason for the spat was never disclosed, it was obvious that thing between the two were not fine. However, once again, they sorted their differences and Ekta not only recommended her for Rock On! but gave her a meaty role opposite Emraan Hashmi in her production Once Upon A Time Mumbai.
Like, Rajeev Khandelwal, Aamna also became a household name with her portrayal of the main lead in the super hit serial Kahiin To Hoga. But Aamna’s relationship with her mentor Ekta Kapoor hit the rocks. While the real reason between their fallout was never disclosed, one could see that things were not going well between the two. However, both of them sorted out their differences and Ekta offered Aamna an important role in her Bollywood production Ek Tha Villain.
This was one of the biggest fallout any actor has ever had with Ekta Kapoor. Pulkit Samrat rose to recognition by playing the character of Lakshya in Ekta Kapoor’s biggest hit Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thhi. But the actor dragged the Ekta and her production house Balaji Telefilms to court over issues of non-payment and not letting him take work from other production houses. Although Ekta was livid with him for a while, they finally came around and solved the issues between them and went back to being on amicable terms.
