Here's How Twitter Reacted To Karan Johar's Statement on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Controversy
Updated : October 19, 2016 11:21 AM ISTAs Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's release gets increasingly under threat, director Karan Johar finally came out and made an official yesterday statement on the issue. The film, which has Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, has come under a lot of pressure, with some groups threatening to mar the release of the movie.
In the heavily watched clip, the veteran director said that for him his country comes first and because of that he will not “engage with talent” from Pakistan in the future. He also appealed to everyone to let the movie release.
But as earnest the clip seemed, Twitter was divided on the director's statement.
Largely, there was apathy towards the director, with many questioning his patriotism
