For every stand up comedian who has been made to sit down because an "offence" was taken, Being Indian brings this documentary that shows the evolution of the humour industry from wandering in clubs as fillers to the thunderous events like AIB Roast and the hurdles it faces in a country which doesn't have a sense of humour! 

Jaideep Varma, the director, covers traiditional stand-up artists ranging from Raju Shrivastava, Johnny Lever to modern comedians like Tanmay Bhat, Vir Das, Rohan Joshi and Papa CJ. Other humourists include Jug Suraiya (writer), Hemant Morparia (cartoonist), Vrajesh Hirjee (actor), Rahul Roushan (Faking News), Varun Grover and more.
