Will Salman Khan Ever Win A Filmfare Award?
Updated : April 06, 2016 11:03 AM ISTSalman Khan has received a total number of 13 Filmfare nominations in a career spanning over 27 years and amongst those 13 nominations, he has only won 2 awards. One of the awards was won way back in the year 1989 for his performance in Maine Pyar Kiya, which was his debut award, and the other was for his supporting role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The 42-year-old actor is known to stay away from award functions for this very reason.
This year Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan was nominated in three big categories but only won the award for the best story. Kareena Kapoor, Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra starrer was the highest grosser of the previous year. It won hearts and bagged a whopping amount of Rs 300 crore at the box office.
61st Britannia Filmfare Night was held in Mumbai on 15th January 2016 and all the hell broke loose when Salman Khan didn't win an award. His fans were dissatisfied, displeased and dismayed which led to raising the questions on Filmfare's credibility. These disheartened fans took to Twitter and expressed their anger and anguish.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan its best film of 2016, touched hearts of millions. Filmfare has lost credibility this way by not giving enough awards ???

Though Salman Khan didn't win an award, but after a long time, he performed at the award ceremony. The categories for which Bajrangi Bhaijaan was nominated were mostly won by Bajirao Mastani.
