1. Akshay Kumar
Yes, the khiladi of Bollywood was once a teacher. He had dropped out of school to learn martial arts, for which he travelled even out of India. When he returned to Mumbai, he started teaching martial arts. One of his students, an aspiring photographer, recommended Kumar into modelling which ultimately led to a modelling assignment! And thus the journey started!
2. Nandita Das
The director and the actress was a teacher in Rishi Valley School, continuing with theatre on the side.
3. Chandrachur Singh
The actor, who had shot to fame with 'Maachis', was a music teacher in Doon School before his acting career took off.
4. Kader Khan
The brilliant actor was also a teacher between 1970-75! He used to teach Civil Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Byculla, Mumbai. Also, he is now a teacher of Hindi in Dubai.
5. Anupam Kher
The veteran actor owns and teaches in a very well known acting school, that has produced brilliant students like Deepika Padukone!

The comedian, who lad learnt acting from The Film and Television Institute Of India, became the Head of the Acting Department of FTII in 2008.

The actor was very educated and had double masters- in English and in Hindi. He had come to Bengal in the 1930s to join as a teacher of Hindi and English at Vishva Bharati University which had been started by Rabindranath Tagore!
