5 Reasons Why Badhaai Ho Is The Movie Of The Week!
Updated : October 17, 2018 11:10 PM ISTBollywood had been gearing up for Dusshera for quite some time and needless to say, there is going to be a clash this week as well. But this clash is not just between 2 films; there are many low budget films as well that will release. While the biggest release this Dusshera is undoubtedly Namaste England, the second installment of the Namaste London series that will have Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead, we are placing our bet on Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho.
Here are a few reasons why we think that Badhaai Ho will be the film to consider watching this weekend:
1. The cast
Badhaai Ho has a stellar star cast, all of whom have been known for their acting prowess. Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra are in the lead. While Ayushmann has already given one of his best performances with this year's other release Andhadhun, Sanya has also shown her mettle with Pataakha earlier this year.
Apart from these two, there are stars like Neena Gupta, Surekha Sikri and Gajraj Rao. There is also Sheeba Chaddha who will be seen as Sanya's mother.
2. The storyline
Well, what seems to be more interesting about the film is the storyline. It is about a 20 something guy and his family, who suddenly gets to know that his parents will have a baby soon.
3. The presentation
Well, while the trailer had made us all go ROFL, this situation is not something unheard of in India. While things like these are not too common nowadays in urban India, the situation is perfectly normal. Well, this topic is also considered taboo and pregnancy at an older age is looked down upon by society. The film is trying to present this situation in the most comical way possible and yet deliver a message, just like Ayushmann's other films like Vicky Donor and Subh Mangal Saavdhan which dealt with sperm donation and erectile dysfunction respectively.
4. The music
The music of the film is quirky and from what we have heard so far, the songs are quite catchy. There is a combination of both modern Punjabi songs like Morni Banke and touch of traditional like the title track.
5. The chemistry
The film offers not just one but two pairings- that of Ayushmann and Sanya and of Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. Needless to say, it would be super interesting to see.
