12 Bollywood Actor-Director Duos Who We Are Tired Watching Again And Again

Actors and directors often find a comfort zone with other professionals from the film industry and often tend to repeat their favourites in their successive ventures. As the industry sees the release of a record number of films almost every year, filmmakers most of the times chose to work with the cast and crew they are comfortable with.

A number of actor-directors have formed successful partnerships with each other and have delivered hits after hits. Pairs like Karan Johar-SRK, Amitabh Bachchan-Yash Chopra, Aamir Khan-Rajkumar Hirani have delivered some of the biggest blockbusters whenever they worked together. A number of these duos work together more than with any other professional from the industry and sometimes we feel it is time for these 11 Actor-Director pairs to take a break and work with other artists:

Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn: The duo has given a number of hits together, most recently 2017's Golmaal Again which is the highest grossing horror-comedy in Bollywood. After giving 8 successful films, we think its time for them to take a break for a couple of years.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali-Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone: The acclaimed director has only worked with these 2 actors as his leads. Audiences would now love to see both Deepika and Ranveer in different films as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali working with other talents from the industry. 

Emraan Hashmi-Anthony D'Souza: The directors worked with Emraan Hashmi in Azhar which did not perform well at the box-office. They are coming back together for Captain Nawaab and it would have been wise had they taken a break first. 

Luv Ranjan-Karthik Aryan-Nusrat Bharucha: The director is known to cast Karthik and Nusrat in all of his films and people would now love to see these actors in different avatars.

Vikram Bhatt-Emraan Hashmi: They have worked in a number of films but their recent films have flopped at the box-office and they should work with different people from the industry.

David Dhawan-Varun Dhawan: The director has only cast his son in his previous 2 outings and it looks like they would be working on a 3rd venture too. 

Ayan Mukerji-Ranbir Kapoor: Though their films receive positive reviews, the director only takes Ranbir as his lead and now they will be working on 3 films in Bramhastra trilogy. 

Sajid Khan-Akshay Kumar: Though their films receive mixed to negative reviews from the critics, they will soon be working together in Housefull 4 again.

Hansal Mehta-Rajkummar Rao: Even though their films receive a lot of critical acclaims, they don't do well at the box-office. 

Salman Khan-Ali Abbas Zafar: They have given 2 blockbusters back to back and will soon be collaborating their 3rd venture, Bharat. The audience may be fatigued by then.
