4 Bollywood Actors Who Refused Play Parents To Popular Stars Because They Are Too Young!

It is the job of every Bollywood actor to be able to convince you of the character that he is playing on the screen. But sometimes the actors get offered roles that make it just too difficult for us to associate with them. For example, many Bollywood actresses were made to play a mother on the screen to a much older actor, or to someone we have already seen them romancing on screen. But in today’s day an age, the actors have become more conscious about what roles they pick and how it impacts their careers. There have been quite a few of them who refused to play parents to popular stars, with whom they have a very little age difference. Take a look at actors who were offered to play parents to actors of nearly the same age!

Swara Bhaskar – The 30 years old actress has done several popular as well as critically acclaimed films in the industry and was recently seen playing a mother in the film Nil Battey Sanata. But as good as the film was nobody expected that she would be asked to play an onscreen mother to Shah Rukh Khan for Anand L. Rai's Zero! As shocking as it was, Swara deftly shot down the offer.

Sanjay Dutt – Salman Khan had made a humble offer to his good friend and elder brother Sanjay Dutt to play his father in his 2011 film, Bodyguard. Sanjay, who is still bagging several popular lead roles in the movies was slightly taken aback at the offer and refused by saying that he did not feel old enough to play Salman’s dad yet!

Aamir Khan – The actor was reportedly approached for a role in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, and Mr. Perfectionist thought it was for him to play the lead character in the film. But to his surprise instead of asking him to play Sanjay Dutt, the makers wanted to sign him up to play Sanjay’s dad Sunil Dutt in the film. Upon the revelation, Aamir turned down the offer as he was not expecting to play a father of a grown up just yet! Ranbir Kapoor is playing Sanjay Dutt in the film.

Anil Kapoor – The might have been in the filmy business for over a decade in the 90’s, but he was still bagging many lead roles in films that were also doing very well. In the midst of it all, he was asked to play a father to Akshay Kumar and then Sunil Shetty for an unreleased film titled Agnikund. Anil turned down the role and Feroz Khan who was making the film shelved the project being unable to finalize a cast.

Whatever the filmmakers were thinking while making these offers, they were definitely left disappointed at the end!
