Bollywood films taking inspiration from Hollywood films is nothing new and some of the biggest blockbusters in Bollywood like Dhoom, Mohabbatein and classics like Jo Jeeta Wo Hi Sikander and Agneepath are copies of Hollywood films. It's not just Hollywood but films from other countries such as South Korea, Poland, Iran, Russia have also found themselves being remade in Bollywood.

The Indian writers, directors and producers modify the stories of the film as per Indian needs and cut out scenes showing too much of violence and sex. There used to be a time when Indian filmmakers would simply rip-off Hollywood films without proper acknowledgement or taking permission from the studios in order to save money. But now, the trend is changing and we see Hollywood films getting remakes in India officially. Here are 7 Bollywood films which are a copy of 2 or more Hollywood films:

Awara Pagal Deewana: The Akshay Kumar-Suneil Shetty starrer copied its plot from Hollywood film The Whole Nine Yards, starring Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry. Also, the action scenes of the films were heavily copied from The Matrix.

Ta Ra Rum Pum: The Saif Ali Khan-Rani Mukerji starrer was a copy of 2 Hollywood films based on NASCAR backdrop- Talladega Nights and Days of Thunder.

You Me Aur Hum: The Ajay Devgn featuring himself and his wife Kajol in the lead roles was a copy of The Notebook and Korean film  A Moment To Remember. 

Baadshah: The Shah Rukh Khan starrer was a copy of multiple films- Nick of TIme, The Mask, Rush Hour and Mr Nice Guy. 

Dhoom: The Abhishek Bachchan-John Abraham starrer film was a blend of The Fast and the Furious and Ocean's Eleven.

Barfi: The Ranbir Kapoor starrer came under criticism as it heavily borrowed from Charlie Chaplin's film The Adventurer and the last scene was copied from The Notebook.

Action Replayy: The Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai starrer was a copy of Back To The Future and also borrowed elements from The Time Machine.
