Priyadarshan is one of the most acclaimed and well-respected directors working in Bollywood today. He has directed over 90 films in different languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telegu and Hindi. He won the national award for best director in 2007 for directing Kanchivaram. He has directed advertisements for multiple brands like Nokia, Coca-Cola, American Express, Asian Paints etc. 

He is known for directing some of the best comedies of Hindi cinema with films like Hungama, Hulchul, Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa etc. He has extracted great comical performances from actors like Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna etc. and almost all of his comedy films are counted amongst the cult-classics. Hungama: The 2003 film featured Paresh Rawal, Akshaye Khanna, Rimi Sen and Aftab Shivdasani in the lead roles and is often regarded as one of the funniest films in Bollywood. The film is full colourful characters, the comedy of errors as well as dialogues which are still remembered by many. The film was a success at the box-office.

Garam Masala: The 2005 film featured an ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav were the obvious scene stealers in the film but it would be a crime if one didn't appreciate the amazing performance by Akshay Kumar. The film is counted amongst Bollywood's modern classics. 

Hera Pheri: Probably one of the greatest comedies in Bollywood and definitely the best comedy of the 2000s, the film featured Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Suneil Shetty in lead roles. The film is remembered for its comedy, dialogues and downright hilarious characters.

Virasat: The 1997 film was Priyadarshan's debut in the Hindi film industry and it was adapted from a Tamil film named Thevar Magan. It featured Anil Kapoor, Amrish Puri, Tabu and Pooja Batra in main roles and was a big hit at the box-office as well as won 7 Filmfare Awards.

Malamaal Weekly: If the film has good content, it definitely doesn't need a big star to anchor it as the story and direction is enough to bring the audiences to the theatres. The ensemble film was full of Priyadarshan's favourite actors who are mostly known for their character roles and the film was a laugh-riot which won universal critical acclaim.
