War’s Ghungroo Song: Pankaj Udhas’ Song Gets Party Twist With Hrithik Roshan And Vaani Kapoor

The first song from War is here. Called Ghungroo, this one is a remake of Pankaj Udhas’ Ghazal and now it has got a party music and funky beat.  But was this party number worth it?

Well, honestly no. This one looks like the best example on how to take massive inspiration from songs- be it the lines, the music or even the picturization! Well, talking about the Pankaj Udhas ghazal, this one just takes some lines from it, but that’s a direct lift. The rest has been twisted in such a way that it feels absolutely pointless. In fact, the lyrics make very less sense.

The song can be lauded for the crisp cinematography. The locales have been captured beautifully and both Hrithik and Vaani look breathtaking. In fact, Vaani has a covetable bikini bod, while Hrithik looks killer just being how he is. But their chemistry has that spark missing!

The beat is bound to remind you of Bang Bang title tracks. And if you thought that is enough ‘inspiration’ for one song, then wait till you see the entire picturisation. The mushy moments between Hrithik-Vaani would take you back to Meherbaan Huya Rab song. And it has some Dheere Dheere feels as well!

That’s not all. In the last segment of the song, Vaani looks like Katrina Kaif, straight out of the Malang song. The aerial acrobat moves are ditto there.
