Udit Narayan
He sang his last memorable song in Karan Johar’s Radha, from Student of The Year. This 90s legend has been out of sight and sound for more than 4 years now. His incredible songs which he sung for every actor in the 90s, including all the Khans are gems. While Arijit Singh has taken over everyone’s business like nobody’s business, there’ll always be a special place for Udit Narayan in every music lover’s heart. His songs are still on our playlists and we want more!

Sonu Nigam
Sonu recently came out with his song on demonetisation. But, we miss his fun songs like Tu Kab Ye Janegi, Bijuriya and Ab Mujhe Raat Din. Every SRK song from Pardes, to the magical Kal Ho Na Ho, Sonu is irreplaceable in Bollywood. We wonder if we’d get to see him sing more often, now that he’s coming back on TV with Indian Idol.
Alka Yagnik
Agar Tum Saath Ho from Tamasha became an overnight success because Alka Yagnik is still the undisputed queen of the 90s. Her wine like voice which is only getting better with time can instantly make any dull song sound magical. If it can suit Deepika Padukone, then it can suit any of her contemporaries too. Can someone please get her to sing again, and not just once, but for like a whole album?

The nightingale has been away from singing for a long time now. We need to thank Yash Chopra who managed to convince her to sing in a lot of his movies, even in the late 90s and early 2000s. But now, may be she’s not getting songs which she likes, or may be non one’s writing for her. In the age of Honey Singh and Baadshah, where item numbers are bigger than the entire album, we wonder if Lata Ji finds any scope for her songs. She’s super active on social media which is pleasant for her age, but we need her to reactivate herself and sing more at the movies. We’re never too old and done with her voice right?

Safarnama, his last and one of his best songs is all we have had from Lucky Ali since 2015. We wonder when will we get lucky to hear him sing again! Maybe he’s on for something in Imtiaz’s untitled movie with SRK and Anushka. Mohabbat ki kasam, let’s pray that he gets back!

Palash Sen
Maaeri is his best. Palash Sen’s enthusiastic albums from the 2000s have suddenly stopped coming. He doesn’t sing at the movies anyway, but the extremely talented lad is only seen shunting around the country for gigs. But we’re sure his fans need something more concrete from him. If movies are too old school for him, may be another Dhoom Pichak Dhoom would do! right?
