Here's Why Suicide Squad Is The Most Important Superhero Movie Of The Year

Finally, the much-awaited Suicide Squad which has bad guys turned superhero movie is getting released this friday. The movie had every DC fanboy waiting for it eagerly. But the movie is not for comic-nerds only, the amount of attention it has been getting on social media, promises to be a mega-hit. It can strike a chord with you even if you don't have much insight about the origins and how the DC universe functions.

In the wake of the not-so-good reception of Batman V Superman, DC owed this one to the fans as well as for salvaging their own fan-base's loyalty and respect. Comic fans are an honourable lot.

A bunch of misfits who are some of the most dangerous people on earth in the words of  Amanda Waller the government big shot. This same pattern was meticuluosly utilised by Marvel in their 'Guardians of Galaxy' which was a massive hit. 

The characters are some which were kept hidden inside the closet till now and the cast seems to be doing justice in the numeruos trailers that have come out till now. The twitter reactions of the people who saw the trailers were like this:

A melee of destruction all around shows that the movie's action will keep you in awe of the sequences. 

Jared Leto is playing the new Joker and for his first look there were a lot of praises. While the visceral and playful Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie is already a hit among the fans. Joker and his girl driving around town is something. Thanks to the shows they have been putting up throughout the trailers.

There's an immaculate list of characters derived from the DC extended universe along with Batman(Ben Affleck) which go like:

1) Enchantress(Cara Delevingne)

Enchantress, a powerful sorceress who can heal and teleport, among other things. June Moon struggles to keep her Enchantress side from growing unchecked and tipping over into the dark side, which is presumably why she looks so unhappy in most of the Suicide Squad trailer. She could possibly be the villian.

2) Deadshot (Will Smith)

He's a cold-blooded assassin who, as his name suggests, is an exceptionally talented marksman. His abilities are further enhanced by cybernetic implants (like that glowing red eye). However, like his frequent adversary Batman, he has no superpowers of his own.

3) El Diablo (Jay Hernandez)

He is a gangster with pyrokinetic powers who can shoot fireballs and  Amanda Waller inducts him into the Suicide Squad.

4) Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman)

He is highly skilled and trained, Rick Flag does not have superpowers. He does occasionally have issues with mental instability, which is exactly what you want when you’re about to embark on high-stakes, high-risk missions with a group of known supervillains.

5) Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney)

He employs a lot of trick boomerangs. And possibly some occasional bursts of superspeed. Captain Boomerang is typically an antagonist of the Flash. He is an asshole who often comes out as a comic relief. He seems well-meaning but has a dark psychotic side.

5)Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje)

Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) is a villain most commonly associated with Batman. His reptilian scales are a manifestation of his atavism. His skin functions almost as an armor, and he has several special abilities including regenerative powers and superhuman strength, endurance, speed, and senses.

Katana (Karen Fukuhara) 

She's traditionally a superhero, not a supervillain. In fact, she’s even been a member of the Justice League. What she’s doing running around with the Suicide Squad, then, is a mystery.

6) Slipknot (Adam Beach)

He ties ropes around places and strangle people with them. Btw those ropes are unbreakable.
