10 Bollywood Celebs We Gave Too Many Chances To

Bollywood is a strange land. While some keep waiting for that one opportunity to prove themselves, there are several Bollywood celebs who have been lucky enough to get multiple chances to give that one breakthrough performance. Some has taken the opportunity to be the next big thing, some has simply squandered away the chances but are surprisingly having a decent career in Bollywood.
She entered Bollywood in the year 2003 with Boom. Yes, she was and is ethereally beautiful and she has been given more than a fair number of chances to be anything apart form an eye candy in movies. But no, Katrina Kaif seems completely satisfied with her career and shows no sign of either stopping or doing substantial roles.
Sidhharth Malhotra
It breaks my heart to put his name on this list, but I got to be honest, Sidhharth Malhotra needs to step up his game. Again, the guy is too hot to handle and has a certain flair for action, but he simply needs to show us some acting chops that he hasn’t shown in any of his 9 films so far. We are dangerously close to start getting bored of his looks and charm.
Jacqueline Fernandez
Come to think of it Jacqueline has already been in the industry for 7 years now. Apart from giving us serious fashion and fitness goals, being Sonam’s bestie, giggling in movies and sometimes grooving on a track she has not done nothing remotely substantial. Even after getting a good number of really successful films, she has done nothing to upgrade herself from just another glamorous diva of Bollywood.
Shradhha Kapoor
We know she is an amazing dancer, a decent singer and can look really innocent and forlorn, but do we know what Shradhha Kapoor can do as an actor? No we don’t. Because we have never really seen her doing it. Forget chances, she has even managed to get a few really successful movies, but apart from very happy, to confused and very sullen we are yet to see Shradhha pulling off any other emotion with conviction.
Aditya Roy Kapoor
What is it about the Aashiqui 2 lead pair? Like Shradhha, Aditya Roy Kapoor was also being touted as the next big thing after the success of Aashiqui 2, and this beliefled to him signing a number of films that really had a scope for him to establish a solid place for himself in Bollywood. But apart from playing a raging alcoholic friend of the protagonist he did nothing worthy of the chances that were bestowed upon him so generously
Sunny Leone
Do not take me wrong, I absolutely adore Sunny Leone and her gorgeous self. But after making her debit in Bollywood with Jism 2 she has signed a ton of films that did nothing to take her career anywhere and even she did not make sincere efforts to be taken seriously as an actor.
She had one of the most talked about debuts of the year opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg . However, she never really got out of the Rajjo mode and kept signing films with characters that were just a ‘love interest’ of the hero. She got a number chances to shine in a solo film with ventures like Akira and Noor, but squandered away those chances either due shoddy performance or just sloppy scripts.
Illeana D’Cruz
This was another dream debut gone waste. After Barfi, Illeana has almost exclusively chose bad scripts and characters for herself. Even with a few ones that actually had a scope for a good performance, she just made one lack lustre attempt after another.
Acting genes is one thing Salman and his family definitely does not have. Arbaaz started his career as early as 1996 and has appeared in a substantial number of movies since then, but can’t boast of one performance that wasn’t categorically disastrous. Its actually surprising how he has managed to stck around for so long. If his long list of bad films wasn’t enough, his recent adventure named ‘Tera Intezar’ really make us wonder that why Bollywood has been giving so many chances to him. I mean not that he is related to a big star or anything, right?
Ok before you throw names like Dhoom and Force on my face, please take a moment to understand that good performances go beyond stylized action. On paper John Abraham can be easily counted as one of the A listers of Bollywood, but he has not a single memorable performance to boast of. Even multiple opportunities in different genres and flavours later he is still the same stiff and expressionless actor that he used to be in his initial days. Like literally, nothing has changed.
