Sushmita Sen Reveals How She Met Boyfriend Rohman Shawl, Says It’s A Serendipity Story

Ever since she won the crown of Miss Universe in 1994 she has been the darling of the whole country. Though her stint with Bollywood was not as glorious, Sushmita Sen has always been the ultimate diva and someone everyone has looked up to. Whatever she does, she does it with a grace and poise that is unique to her.

These days Sushmita has been in the headlines for her adorable romance with boyfriend Rohman Shawl. Though there has been some negativity that they received from the netizens due to their age-gap and Sushmita being the elder one, the couple has never been happier and it shows.

Recently, in an interview, Sushmita opened up about her beautiful love story with Rohman. It was popularly believed that they met at a fashion show and when asked about the same, Sushmita said, “No, actually we didn't. It's a very very beautiful serendipity story. He sent me a direct message on Instagram and I didn't check direct messages because I wasn't sure if you check it you may be allowing that person to start communicating with you. So, I had too many of these direct messages and I had not opened any and there it was. Touch screen phone ki jai ho because I had gone to the DM to look at what all had come and I was scrolling through and this boy broke something in the room and I went talking to him and when I came back I had obviously opened one of the DMs and it was a message from him and I was like 'Oh my god, how did I do that, god I should never be talking when I am near a phone.”

Replying to the message, Susmita wrote, “Thank you so much, your message made my day, I wish you all the happiness in the world.”

Sushmita said she was on her way to the US when she received another message from Rohman which said, “I am jumping from one room to another, I cannot believe you responded.” Sushmita thanked him once again and then they did not communicate for a month.

Then they again got in touch again and started talking. Rohman invited Sushmita to watch him play football, but Sushmita suggested that they should go out for coffee first. “And, that was it when I met this person, I felt I had known him my whole life. It was that simple,” said Sushmita.

Well, that really sounds like a magical story and it surely has elements of serendipity to it. But it is their relationship that is more beautiful than the story. We wish the couple many more years of togetherness and we hope they will keep inspiring the romantics in us with their love for each other and of course the adorable Instagram posts.
