Rajinikanth's 2.0 Will NOT Clash With Akshay Kumar's Padman; Here's When It Will Release!

Akshay Kumar’s Padman and Rajinikanth’s 2.0 are one of the most awaited movies. While Padman stars Akshay in the lead role, 2.0 features him as a baddie. Recently, the news of both the movies clashing with each other gave a jolt to the industry as well as to audience.

However, now it is reported that 2.0 will not clash with Padman, which is releasing on January 26, 2018. It will release on April 13, which happens to be Tamil New Year. Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce that Padman is releasing on January 26. He wrote, “Not all superheroes come with capes! Bringing you the true story of a real superhero, #Padman this Republic Day – 26th January, 2018!”

Padman is based on real life story of social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham who helped women of his village in finding affordable and hygienic alternatives for sanitary pads. Directed by R. Balki, the movie also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte besides Akshay. Amitabh Bachchan will appear in a cameo in the film.
