The cinematic grandeur whe have all been waiting for, Brahmastra , has finally wrapped up its first shooting schedule. Actress Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to share a picture with director Ayan Mukherji and co-actor Ranbir Kapoor and shared the happy news. Although the film will take probably till 2019 to hit the screens, the excitement and interest about the fresh pairing of Ranbir-Alia and epic theme of the film is already high. Here are 5 things you need to know about Brahmastra that might satisfy your curiosity for a while longer.
Dragon
Before naming the film ‘Brahmastra’ the working title of the film was ‘Dragon’. However, later pn the makers found Brahmastra to be a a more suitable name for the project and it would also sound more rooted in Indian sensibilities.
Trilogy
Karan Johar whose Dharma Productions is producing the film has announced that it is not going to be a standalone film. He said that the film will be made in parts and will each part would be released every two years
Avatar of Indian Film
Talking about his most ambitious project, Ayan Mukherji, who is directing the film has said tht he wants and hopes that this film would be the Avatar of Indian cinema in terms of cinematic grandeur. In fact all the information about the film makes it clear that it will be of epic proportions.
Modern Meets Ancient
While the makers have been tight-lipped about the story line of the film, director Ayan Mukherji has given some hints. He has said that the movie is set in modern times but derives its essence, energy and powers from ancient India.
Deadpool Connection
Ever since it has been announced that Brahmastra would be a super-hero film, the gossips mills have been abuzz with the rumour that the film might be a remake of the hit Hollywood superhero film Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds.
