Aamir Not Shooting For Laal Singh Chaddha In Turkey
Updated : August 11, 2020 01:26 PM ISTAamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, Bollywood’s official remake of Tom Hanks’ blockbuster Forrest Gump, is aiming for a Christmas 2021 release after the significant delay in the film’s shooting schedule due to COVID-19.
The movie still has a significant portion to shoot and Aamir Khan has already flown to Turkey to set plans in motion for the shoot’s resumption. Aamir landed in Turkey on Monday where he was mobbed at the airport by fans and struggled to maintain social distancing norms. The reason for Aamir’s visit, however, is not to resume shoot for Laal Singh Chaddha.

The actor is in the country to finalise the shoot locations according to Bollywood Hungama report and will only be resuming shoot in October. A source close to the actor was quoted by the portal saying, “Aamir is not in Turkey shooting right now. He starts shooting in October. He is currently finalizing locations.”
The cast of Laal Singh Chaddha had a 10 days schedule in Delhi before the lockdown was announced but the shoot was halted. The makers are also looking for another location to shoot after their plans to shoot in Ladakh were in jeopardy after the Galwan Valley clashes. Reports now have it that 50% of Laal Singh Chdadha will not be shot in Turkey.
