Abhishek Recalls What Father Amitabh Bachchan Told Him When He Thought Of Quitting Bollywood

Abhishek Bachchan is an incredibly versatile actor who easily gets into every character and successfully charms the audience with each film. He has several masterpieces to his credit and has given us many excellent performances to remember in his 21 year long career. However, there was a time when the actor saw a series of flops and felt that maybe he was not made for the film industry. He almost decided to give up and went to his father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, to talk about it.

In a recent interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, the Dostana star remembered, “To fail on a public platform is very difficult. There was no social media back then, but I read via media that some were abusing me while some said that I do not know acting. At one point in time, I felt it was my mistake that I came into the industry as whatsoever I was trying, it was not working. I went to my dad and said maybe I am not made for this industry.”

Big B told his son that he never brought him up to be a quitter. The superstar said, “Every morning you have to wake up and fight for your place under the sun. As an actor, you are improving with every film.” He told Abhishek to work, take up every role no matter how big or small, and to trust him that he will do fine. Well, we are grateful that Big B stopped a gem of an actor like his son from leaving the film industry!
