After Karan Johar, Manjinder Sirsa Now Accuses Anurag Kashyap Of Hurting Sikh Sentiments In Sacred Games
Manjinder Sirsa Accuses Anurag Kashyap Of Hurting Sikhs
Updated : August 20, 2019 02:57 PM ISTAfter accusing Karan Johar of organizing a drug party at his home, Akali Dal leader Manjinder Sirsa has now accused Anurag Kashyap of hurting religious sentiments of the Sikh community. Sirsa recently took to social media to voice his displeasure at a particular scene in one of the episodes of the latest season of Sacred Games.
In the aforementioned scene, Saif Ali Khan’s character, who is playing a Sikh in the film tosses away his Kada, the iron bangle that Sikhs wear as a part of their religious identity, into the sea in frustration. Reacting to this scene, Sirsa tweeted:

Anurag Kashyap deliberately puts this scene in #SacredGamesS2 where Saif Ali Khan throws his Kada in sea! A KADA is not an ordinary ornament. It’s the pride of Sikhs & a blessing of Guru Sahib @NetflixIndia @ANI pic.twitter.com/c2KMbJVrwA

In fact, this is not the first time that Sirsa has lashed out on Anurag Kashyap and Sacred Games. Sirsa has objected to the contents of Sacred Games even in past and accused Anurag Kashyap of intentionally trying to portray the majority of Indians as intolerant towards minorities. Sirsa has called for taking down certain scenes from the series and even demanded Anurag Kashyap “should at least study the scriptures of Sikhs & Hindus before he portrays the characters so negatively in his projects just for entertainment or sensationalization.”

This is a clever plan to serve anti-India agenda and portray that Muslims are being killed in India by Hindus. Are you trying to serve the narration of ISI and anti-India forces Anurag Kashyap?@ZeeNews @NetflixIndia @ANI https://t.co/cUgUT5a29b pic.twitter.com/077mEzJI3u

A couple of weeks back, Sirsa was in the headlines for accusing Karan Johar of hosting a drug party at his home. The controversy started when Karan Johar shared a video of his house party where the biggest stars of the industry including Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, and Vicky Kaushal were seen chilling at Karan’s house. However, Sirsa alleged that the video shows that the stars are under the influence of drugs and even alleged that some white powder can be seen beside where Vicky has been sitting.
Recently, Karan Johar reacted to the allegations and called them absolutely baseless. He said next time he will react to such baseless rumors by taking the legal route.
