Akshay Kumar Tests Positive For Covid-19; Informs He's Under Home Quarantine, Promises To Be 'Back In Action Very Soon'

Akshay Kumar on Sunday morning broke the news to his fans that he has tested positive for Covid 19. With the second wave of the pandemic sweeping the nation into panic once again Bollywood has not been immune. Several Bollywood celebrities have of late tested positive for the virus including Alia Bhatt, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Narayan and others.

The actor who has been Ayodhya for his next project Ram Setu had begun shooting for the film just a few days ago along with co-stars, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha.

On Sunday morning, Akshay took to social media to inform fans he has tested positive with a note. He wrote: “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon!”

The actor’s tweet has his fans concerned, who are now praying for his speedy recovery. Several celebrities including Renuka Shahane and Rahul Dev also expressed their concern in replies and wished for him to get well soon.

The rise in Covid-19 cases is definitely taking a toll on the entertainment business again. Movies are once again being postponed while shoots are getting hampered.
