EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Oberoi Reveals How He Got Shweta Tiwari Comfortable To Do Intimate Scenes In Hum Tum And Them

ALTBalaji’s Hum Tum and Them stars the beautiful Shweta Tiwari and the very talented and the hazel-eyed guy Akshay Oberoi. Akshay is uninhibited, he is a wonderful actor and makes sure to breathe life into the characters he plays which the audience has seen in the multiple films he has been part of. His latest outing is the recently launched webseries on ALTBalaji hum Tum and Them. The show is about a couple who are going through a rough patch in their own marriage and have teenaged kids. The two are absolutely opposite to each other in terms of their personalities and as they say opposites attract, they fall in love much to the chagrin of their teenaged children!

ALTBalaji is known for the portrayal of sexuality in their shows and this show too has a big and luscious dollop of it! However, it did take a lot of dilly-dallying for Shweta to say yes to a role that demanded her to be kissing and getting intimate on screen! Given the fact that she had never really played such a character earlier on in her career, it was not easy for Akshay to do the scenes with her. We have seen Akshay getting cozy numerous times with actresses on screen but with Shweta it was kind of different.

We got exclusively in touch with the actor and he was upfront in admitting that it was not difficult for him because, he had done such scenes aearlier as well. Quipped he, “I think I have done a lot of those scenes.” He stated, that such scenes require a certain amount of discussion in between the co-stars. Such scenes are kind of clinical, you got to have a lot of conversation with your co-stars in terms of what he or she is comfortable or not comfortable with. These are the things we need to talk about.”

He revealed he did the same with Shweta too. “And we did have a lot of those chats. I just wanted it to look nice. We are playing characters. And I had to convey it to her - that look, this is just about the job and it was difficult. I think Shweta was a little distraught over it. Of course, she had never done anything like this and I have done a bunch of things and therefore it was difficult for her. He further feels such scenes are no big deal because everyone kisses and has sex. He affirmed, “There are few of those scenes about three or four of them and it is required for the show. The show is about this. You know, people do kiss, you have sex in your life!”
