Amitabh Bachchan Celebrates 46 Years Of Chupke Chupke; Reveals Film’s Special Connection To His House Jalsa

Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1975 comedy Chupke Chupke is undoubtedly one of the most iconic masterpieces of Bollywood. The cult classic, which was a remake of Bengali film Chhadmabeshi, brought together a phenomenal cast of extremely talented superstars such as Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Om Prakash. Today, Chupke Chupke clocks in 46 years and even after such a long time, it continues to be a fan favorite! The film was one of a kind and the dialogues are still fresh in the minds of many movie lovers.

Well, to celebrate the special milestone achieved by the super hit comedy, Big B revealed a special connection that Chupke Chupke has with his house Jalsa. Along with a still featuring him and wife Jaya from the film on his social media handle, the megastar shared, ‘“Chupke Chupke “ our film by Hrishikesh MUKERJI.. closing today at 46 years ..!! This house you see in the picture is Producer NC Sippy’s house .. we bought it , then sold it , then bought it back again .. rebuilt it .. this is our home now JALSA !! Many films were shot here .. According to recent reports, a remake of Chupke Chupke is in the pipeline at the moment. While Rajkummar Rao is expected to reprise Dharam paaji’s iconic character Dr Parimal Tripathi aka Pyare Mohan Allahbadi, Vicky Kaushal has reportedly been approached for Big B’s role.
