Anil Kapoor And Jackie Shroff To Reunite For A Subhash Ghai Film! Is It Ram Lakhan 2?

It has been quite a few months that Anil Kapoor had said at an event that a Ram Lakhan reunion is on cards. In fact, a rumour was also abuzz that Ram Lakhan would soon be remade with Ranveer Singh playing one of the leads and that it might have a cameo from the original Ram and Lakhan- Anil and Jackie. But now, we have news that Anil and Jackie will indeed reunite for a project that will be produced by Ram Lakhan director Subhash Ghai.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the film will go on floors in a few months. The project will be titled Ramchand Kishanchand. This will be a crime comedy about two 50-year-old cops. A source said,

“It’s a crime-comedy that tells the story of two 50-year-old cops and is slated to go on the floors in Mumbai later this year.”

Now, while Jackie Shroff did play a cop in the 1991 film Ram Lakhan while Anil Kapoor played a corrupt cop, it has not yet been revealed if this would indeed be a sequel to Ram Lakhan. In fact, even the actors did not divulge any details. While Jackie Shroff said, “It is always a yes for a Subhas Ghai film”, Anil Kapoor could not be contacted.

The makers said, “We have been working on various scripts for Anil and Jackie and have liked one.”

This will be a delight for fans who have grown up seeing the two set fire on the screen with films like Ram Lakhan and Parinda. They were also seen together in Lajja and in the 2013 film Shootout At Wadala where Jackie had a guest appearance.
