Athiya Shetty Speaks About The Failure Of Her First Film, Admits She Was Disappointed
Athiya Shetty Speaks About Hero Debacle
Updated : November 15, 2019 10:27 AM ISTAthiya Shetty is all geared up for her upcoming flick, Motichoor Chaknachoor. The actress was launched by superstar Salman Khan in her debut film Hero. In the film, she was paired opposite Sooraj Pancholi. The film generated a lot of hype given the fact that two star kids were launched in the film, but the film failed to be a hit.
And now Athiya has opened up about it. Speaking to Spotboye, the actress revealed that the failure of her first film taught her a lot.
In the Spotboye report, she has been quoted as saying, “I feel that can happen to anybody on any film because you can’t predict what the end product is and you can’t predict its success at the box-office either. I didn’t sign Motichoor Chaknachoor or Mubarakan because I thought it’s going to make this much money and I’m going to get this out of it. I would say that you work because you’re an actor and you want to play different characters. So, I don’t think Hero didn’t work for me. I think it taught me a lot. It gave me confidence. So, that’s a film I would go back and redo again.”
However, the actress did admit that she was indeed disappointed. The actress was further quoted as saying, “You do feel disappointed because you have a certain expectation and excitement because it’s your first film. But I feel your first film chooses you so it’s all the more special. The film is very close to my heart. I have a mentor like Salman Khan. I made some good friends and my first film will always be a positive memory for me.”
Athiya plays the lead actress in the Nawazuddin Siddique starrer Motichoor Chaknachoor.
