Bhoot Police, Hungama 2 And Mimi Among Others To Premiere On Disney+Hotstar In The Next Few Months; Deets Inside

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, many films were directly released on OTT platforms last year. One of the biggest announcements about the same was made by Disney+Hotstar, which had managed to acquire 7 much awaited Bollywood films including Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmii and Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India. Well, with the second wave of coronavirus upon us, the streaming giant is now set to announce their ‘Bollywood Ki Home Delivery’ menu for 2021 to continue entertaining movie lovers all through the pandemic.

A report shared by Peeping Moon revealed that the streaming giant has bought five Bollywood films and will soon announce the date of their OTT premiere. A source was quoted saying, “Disney+Hotstar is again going with all guns blazing. They have acquired five new films and are in talks for some more Hindi titles that will straightly premiere on the service between June and October 2021. However, this year they have bought mostly the small and medium budget films compared to last year's slate that included three A-lister projects (Laxmmi, Bhuj: The Pride of India, The Big Bull).”

The source further shared that Disney+Hotstar is in the final negotiation stage and will announce the release dates officially once the paperwork is complete and the deal is locked. The slate of releases includes Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam starrer Bhoot Police, Kriti Sanon’s Mimi, Shaadisthan featuring Kirti Kulhari and Nivedita Bhattacharya, Hungama 2 starring Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty and Meezaan Jaffrey, and romantic drama Shiddat.
