Bhumi Pednekar On Rangoli Chandel's Ageism Comment: 'She’s Not From The Acting World, We Don’t Have To Agree With Her Opinion'
Bhumi on Rangoli's Ageism Comment
Updated : October 23, 2019 11:05 AM ISTTaapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar play 60-year olds in their upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh. However, this very fact didn’t go down well with many in the Bollywood fraternity. Many raised objections about how can young girls be cast for roles that are twice their age and sparked off the ageism controversy. Many actors and actresses revealed their opinion on the matter.
Kangana Ranaut’s sister and official spokesperson Rangoli Chandel always has an opinion and she did have one on this issue as well. She stated, Kangana was first offered the role and she refused it saying actors like Shabana Azmi and Neena Gupta should play the role. Neena Gupta too stated, “Yes, I was just thinking about this hamari umar ke role toe kamsekam hamse karalo bhai.”
During an interaction with a media portal, Bhumi Pednekar nullified Rangoli's comment saying her opinions don’t matter. She stated, “She (Rangoli) is another person in the Twitterverse. She is not from the acting world, she is not a colleague, we haven’t seen any of her work. So, she has an opinion that we heard. We don’t have to agree with every opinion because every debate has two sides to it.”
Woah! What do you guys have to say about Bhumi’s comeback on Rangoli?
