Bombay High Court Rules Out In Kangana Ranaut's Favour And Stays BMC's Demolition, Actor's Lawyer Calls BMC's Notice Illegal
Bombay High Court Stays BMC's Demolition
Updated : September 09, 2020 03:35 PM ISTKangana Ranaut had compared Mumbai to POK on her Twitter and all hell broke loose. A Shiv Sena leader had threatened her and the actress decided to come to Mumbai. She was provided Y level security by the Union Minister. But, what was unforeseen was the suddenness of BMC putting up a notice of illegal construction against Kangana's Manikarnika Films. They allegedly gave her 24 hours to reply, but after Kangana failed to do so, they swiftly moved to demolish the building. Quite obviously, her lawyer filed a petition to the Bombay High Court. Now, the court had ruled out in favour of the actress.
According to ANI, the Bombay High Court has ordered a stay on the demolition that BMC was to carry out. The hearing happened at 12:30 pm, and BMC had arrived outside the office and began the demolition much earlier. The court has therefore ordered the civic body to reply to the petition that the actress has filed.

Talking to ANI, Kangana's lawyer, Rizwan Siddiqui further added, "The notice given is illegal and they entered the premises illegally. There was no work underway at the premises." See the tweet here:

We wonder what BMC would have to say now! Kangana too has arrived in Mumbai and is yet to give a statement.
