Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Total Dhamaal, will now be seen in a completely different avatar. The only difference being that this time, it will not be for the reel but for the real! Yes, the latest the grapevine has is Riteish Deshmukh will soon be seen donning his father's politician cap!

According to a close source, desimartini.com has come to know that the funny man is all geared up to be a politician. The Dhamaal actor will now be contesting elections from Latur (Maharashtra) for Congress in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. His father Vilasrao Deshmukh of Maharashtra till 2008.

An official confirmation from the Congress party or the actor is still awaited, but this a big step for Riteish.

On the work front Riteish is currently shooting for Total Dhamaal that also stars Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor. Total Dhamaal is due to release in December 2018.
