CBI Accesses Sushant’s 7 Page Autopsy Report, Approaches AIIMS To Shed Medico-legal Opinion
CBI Accesses Sushant’s Autopsy Report
Updated : August 22, 2020 12:52 PM ISTAfter the CBI took over Sushant Singh Rajput’s investigation many remotely related to the case are being interrogated while some amongst them have also been taken into custody. The latest is, the seven-page autopsy report too is being thoroughly assessed by the CBI. The report mentions that there are no external injury marks on Sushant’s body and it further mentions that there are no marks at the back of his neck.
Dr Dinesh Rao further explained the autopsy report saying that the knot was present at the back of the neck and this may rule out the possibility of forcible hanging.
He told Times Now, “The report speaks about the manner of death. In the absence of any other injuries rules out forcible hanging.” He further told the news channel that besides Sushant’s close family no one else is allowed to enter inside the morgue. There are also many questions that are being raised on the absence of the time of death in the autopsy report and Rao state that it is unusual ad ‘unfortunate that the time of death was not recorded as evidence.
Meanwhile, the forensic team of All India Institute of Medical Sciences will also be giving their opinion which would include both the medical and legal aspects of the matter. CBI had approached them after the investigation was handed over to them.
Dr. Sudhir Gupta, head of forensic department, AIIMS, told ANI, "CBI is collecting all the reports related to SSR case and they will submit to us very soon. We will analyze the injury pattern on the body, correlate with circumstantial evidence. We will also examine other trace evidence preserved at the time of autopsy to differentiate between hanging and murder allegations."
