Comedy Of Errors: When West Bengal Textbook Put Farhan Akhtar's Picture Instead Of Milkha Singh!
Updated : August 19, 2018 01:38 PM ISTTo err is to human, so goes the saying. But can a major mistake at a bigger level so easily be overlooked or forgiven?
Well in a comic turn of events, a West Bengal textbook had put the picture of Farhan Akhtar from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag instead of Milkha Singh to write about India's performances in the Olympics.
The picture was put out by a Twitter user. Farhan Akhtar was also quick o take notice of it and requested the Education Minister of West Bengal to recall and republish the books with correct information as soon as possible.

There is a glaring error with the image used in one of the school text books to depict Milkha Singh-ji. Could you please request the publisher to recall and replace this book?

Well, for the uninitiated, Farhan Akhtar played Milkha Singh in his biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which was directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra. Farhan looked like a split image of Milkha Singh, so much so that the later complimented him by saying, "You have become Milkha Singh".
But jokes apart, this is a case of gross negligence. Shouldn't the government be more vigilant as to what goes out in the textbooks? Also, why has none of the parents or teachers complained yet?
