Coolie No. 1 Actor Varun Dhawan Reveals What It Is Like To Work With His Father And Director David Dhawan

Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan is one of the busiest bees of Tinsel Town. The actor is currently on a promotional spree for his next release, Street Dancer 3D, and has already announced his upcoming projects which include Shashank Khaitan’s directorial Mr Lele and military officer Arun Khetarpal’s biopic. However, one of the most-awaited films in his kitty is undoubtedly Coolie No. 1, directed by his father David Dhawan. Interestingly, this will be the third time that the father-son duo will be collaborating for a film.

Well, Varun was recently a guest on The Kapil Sharma Show and got candid about working with his dad, who has directed superstars such as Salman Khan and Govinda. “I ask him for the scripts,” Varun shared, “My dad has only one thing to say ‘Jab maine Salman Khan, Govinda, Anil Kapoor ko scripts nahi dikhayi, to tujhe kyun dikhau’.” The actor went on to reveal that David Dhawan is very strict with him but continued to add, “I always take it as a challenge to prove dad wrong in every situation and come out with a better version of me.”

Coolie No. 1 is the remake of the 1995 film with the same name. The romantic comedy, which also features the gorgeous Sara Ali Khan, is slated to hit theatres on 1^st May.
