Updated : July 16, 2020 02:29 PM ISTWhile the government is slowly easing the lockdown, many films and TV shows are resuming the shoots. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has resumed shooting from 10th July, ‘20. Along with Tapu Sena and Asit Kumar Modi Actor Dilip Joshi who essays the role of Jethalal Gada, too has resumed the shoot of the SAB TV comedy show.
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Dilip stated, “Fear is always there at the back of our mind as we are surrounded by people wearing masks and gloves and sanitiser stands. The whole environment on the set has changed and by the end of the day you are mentally drained. But still it is good to be back at work.”
The show needs to have a bank of episodes as the fresh episodes start airing from 22nd July, ’20. And now, in order to create the bank, Dilip has been shooting for 10 hours everyday from 8 AM to 6 PM.
Speaking about the producer of the show, Dilip told the publication that Asit Kumar Modi ensures all the SOPs are strictly followed on the set. He went on to say, everyone has to learn to live with the fear because the virus won’t disappear in a hurry.
He also revealed that with the fewer number of actors on the set, it was imperative for some changes to be incorporated in the script. Dilip told the portal that they had been shooting with a maximum of four actors per episode and that they had cut down on the crew too and that the episodes that are to be aired in the coming days will be focussed on “the awareness and precautions that are crucial in these trying times.”
