Dimple Kapadia & Boney Kapoor Roped In For Luv Ranjan’s Next; Will Play Ranbir Kapoor’s Parents

A month ago it was revealed that Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor and the gorgeous Shraddha Kapoor will begin shooting their first film together in January 2021. Well, the two recently reached Noida to begin filming the romantic comedy which is being helmed by Luv Ranjan. A huge set has reportedly been erected near the filmmaker’s house and he is expected to reach the location on Monday, 11^th January. Latest reports suggest that other than Shraddha and Ranbir, two more members of the star cast have now been finalized.

A report in TOI has revealed that veteran actress Dimple Kapadia will be playing Ranbir’s on-screen mother, whereas filmmaker Boney Kapoor has been roped in to portray the actor’s father. That’s right! A source was quoted saying, “Boney was their reference point. While the filmmaker had refused the offer, Luv persisted. He asked Arjun Kapoor to convince him and the actor promptly reached out to him, and also got Anshula, Janhvi, and Khushi to do the convincing. Eventually, Boney gave in.”

While not much is known about Dimple’s character in the romantic comedy, the report suggests that Boney’s role will be that of a rich and confident father. The filmmaker recently made his acting debut with brother and superstar Anil Kapoor’s Netflix film AK vs AK. Well, we are super excited to see this star cast shine on the big screen!
