Well, to remind all our readers, this isn’t the first time that any US president mentioned Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge in their speech. When Barack Obama came down to India, it was during his Townhall speech in India that he referred to the famous Senorita line from the film. He said, “Last celebration, here we celebrated the festival of lights in Mumbai. We danced with some children. Unfortunately, we were not able to schedule any dancing in this visit. Senorita, bade bade desho mein… you know what I mean.”
Also, before Trump’s visit to our country, Trump also heaped praises on Ayushmann Khurrana’s Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhaan, a film based on homosexuality. Happened so, LGBTQ activist and author Peter Tatchell applauded Ayushmann’s film on his social media handle and Trump retweeted the same. He wrote, “Great”.
What’s more, he also shared a meme of himself on Bahubali 2: The conclusion’s song Jiyo Re. In this first visit to India, Trump is with his wife Melanie and daughter Jared Kushner for two days.
