Emraan Hashmi To Be A Part Of Arth Remake?

It had been reported quite some time back that the Arth remake is one the pipeline. In fact, rumours were abuzz that Jacqueline Fernandez would reprise the role of Smita Patil in the film. It was also said that Swara Bhaskar is being considered for Shabana Azmi’s character. And now, it looks like the male lead is also on-board.

If reports are to be believed then Emraan Hashmi is being considered to play the male lead in the remake of this classic. A web portal reported,

"Emraan has been approached to play one of the male leads, possibly Kulbhushan Kharbanda's role. The actor is pretty excited about the part, given that the original was tactfully and meticulously looked over by Bhatt himself. Emraan's closeness with the Bhatt family is well known and Emraan obviously seems to be an obvious choice for the role." 

The remake of this Mahesh Bhatt film will be directed by Revathi and will go on floors from December this year. Sources claim that Jacqueline perfectly fits the role of the actress that was earlier essayed by Smita Patil, while Swara would also look great as the estranged wife who takes on the path of self-discovery.
