Shubhangi Atre On Eco-Friendly Ganpati
Updated : August 22, 2020 10:15 AM ISTThe 10-day massive Ganesh Chaturthi Utsav commences on the 22nd August, ‘20, and people across the nation are celebrating it in their own way amid the lockdown. And just like everybody else, our TV actors too are not devoid of the festive spirit. We all know how times have changed drastically, Mumbai is accustomed to seeing hordes of people on the streets during Ganeshotsav but this time, things are a lot more different.
TV actress Shubhangi Atre is currently busy shooting for &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai but she will in no way miss her Ganpati Vandana at home.
We got into an exclusive conversation with her to understand how the celebrations will change in the face of the current COVID-19 situation.
Shubhangi feels the world has gone through a shift of sorts, quipped she, “Things have really changed amid the COVID-19 pandemic and I think, it will be good if we realize that it is high time we mend our ways. We need to rectify our mistakes. It is very necessary to do that.”

She further stresses on how important it is to strike a balance with nature, if we want to provide the basic necessities of life to the coming generations, “We are just a very insignificant part of this ecosystem. Therefore, to maintain the balance of the ecosystem, we really have to strive hard. If we want the future generation to get all the resources needed for them to thrive, we have to start working,” she said.
She further harps on the importance of an eco-friendly Ganpati, “I would personally request one and all to celebrate eco-friendly Ganpati. I would also pray to Bappa to ward off the Coronavirus evil and all the problems and issues pertaining to that are alleviated and we get back to our normal lives as soon as possible,” Atre concluded.
