Bollywood Takes A Stand For Stuck Labourers
Updated : March 29, 2020 08:41 PM ISTThe sudden lockdown that has been imposed on India had been anticipated by many as a means to control the spread of the novel coronavirus. However, one section that seems to have been affected are migrant labourers who had been working in different parts. Their work ended suddenly and with all means of transport being suspended, they are left with no way to go back home that to walk for thousands of kilometer. They neither have the money to put up somewhere else, nor would they get to eat in this lockdown! While the government has said that they will provide help fast, the exodus of people prove that they need immediate help. And just like us, Bollywood stars too took to Twitter to point out the world that these people are in need of immediate help.
From Raveena Tandon to Swara Bhasker to Anubhav Sinha and Anurag Kashyap, here’s what celebs tweeted:
Raveena Tandon corrected a person who criticized the migrant labourers for not following the lockdown saying that they do not have any option.
