Indians are avid story lovers. Be it a bed time story or a movie story, fans are always left wanting more which is also one logical explanation for why the B-Town has sequels lined up for multiple movies even before the release of the very first part of the franchise.

Here is a list of the upcoming famous franchise films which go on floors this year:

1. Ganapath-

Ganapath is one of the most highly awaited franchise film and will be bank rolled by the young and dynamic producer Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh's Pooja Entertainment. This action flick marks the return of Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff's pairing, who made their debut together in Heropanti. The fans went crazy when Jackky Bhagnani revealed the character posters of Tiger and Kriti and the response was enough to demonstrate the fans craze about the upcoming film.

2. Ek Villain Returns:

The film features John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. The film went on floor on March 1, 2021, and is scheduled to release on 11 February 2022. The movie is the second installment in the franchise of the highly critically acclaimed movie, Ek Tha Villain. The action-thriller is set to be helmed by Mohit Suri who also directed part 1.

3. Go Goa Gone 2:

Acting as a sequel to the famous zombie comedy movie Go Goa Gone, this one is surely one of the most obvious picks on the list. Originally slated to release in 2021 the pandemic derailed the progress and now the movie is all set to go on floors this year. It has also been stated that the sequel features aliens instead of zombies.

3. Tiger 3:

Spy-thriller Tiger franchise has been one of the biggest blockbuster around. The third installment has been in headlines for quite some time and it has now been confirmed that the film is all set to go on floors this year and the duo of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif return for the next part with the addition of Emraan Hashmi to casts. Maneesh Sharma will direct the film while YRF Studios will bankroll the project.

With big franchises opting for 2021 as the year to begin shooting, fans can look forward to a 2022 full of Big franchise sequel laden year.
