Directed by Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi, the comedy drama is set in Lucknow and follows the story of a grumpy landlord and his tenant, who isn’t ready to leave the house or pay more rent. The trailer gives us a hilarious glimpse of their unending banter and leaves you wanting more. While Big B has wonderfully aced the accent and look of the landlord and is spectacular as always, Ayushmann will leave you wondering if there is anything that he can’t do. He is too good!
Well, netizens are absolutely delighted by the trailer. Ever since it was released, social media has been flooding with rave reviews and fans are now eagerly waiting for Gulabo Sitabo to premiere on Amazon Prime on 12th June. The trailer of the slice of life film also gave wings to the creativity of some netizens and they are now showering Twitter with hilarious and relatable memes. One particular dialogue, aimed at Ayushmann’s character Baankey, has become exceptionally popular.
