Here Is How Twitterati Roasted Kabir Singh Director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, For His Explosive Interview!
Twitterati Roasts Kabir Singh Director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga
Updated : July 07, 2019 05:23 PM ISTA day back, an interview of Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga hit the internet. The interview was with Film Companion journalist, Anupama Chopra. From claiming that if one can’t touch or hit ‘their woman’, it is not love to calling Rajeev Masand ‘that fat guy’ who gave negative reviews to the film, Sandeep said it all.
And now that the interview has come to the public eye, people can’t stop talking about it, just like they were talking about the misogyny in Kabir Singh itself. In fact, Twitter has not stopped discussing this interview. From calling him out for being downright rude to criticizing his idea of love, Twitterati is doing it all. Here is how Twitter has reacted to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s interview:
1. Aseem Chhabra is not happy with him calling someone 'fat'.
undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >What an arrogant sexist prick this man #SandeepReddyVanga is! And insecure as hell. His film is a monstrous hit and yet he is rattled by what critics had to say. And no Mr. Vang’s, you do not call someone fat - that’s rude, offensive, inconsiderate and very politically incorrect.

2. RJ and film critic Stutee's take on his idea of 'love':
Ok so heard #SandeepReddyVanga talk about how if two people can’t slap each other they are not really in love . Now itching to fall in “love” with him ! ?? is this the right love emoji?
— Stutee Ghosh (@rjstutee) July 6, 2019
3. Sucharita Tyagi, who also reviews films for Film Companion, had no more doubts if the film is cautionary or celebratory. In fact, people also agreed:
undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >This guy needs to reflect on his whole life. He needs to go back and fix something that made him to use such nuances in a movie for audience. I wonder what kind of books he read and people he talks. Still not able to digest why this movie was made twice. #SandeepReddyVanga

4. An answer to Sandeep Vanga for justifying a slap:
undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >Mr. Sandeep Reddy Vanga,
— Taniya Mehta (@tanyeahmehta) July 6, 2019
It is NOT OK to slap ANYONE in the name of love.
Just because you love someone that doesn't mean you can hit them. That is not love, sir. #SandeepReddyVanga #KabirSingh
5. No, slapping someonne isn't okay at all:
undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >https://t.co/dGmabn4jTN#SandeepReddyVanga says if a guy can't slap a girl there's no passion. And anyone who says otherwise is "pseudo". Oh and btw, he's shocked anyone can call the film "violent". This man needs help. As do his fans.

6. Akash Bannerjee is also of a similar opinion:
undefined src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" >I really feel sorry for @imvangasandeep
— The DeshBhakt (@akashbanerjee) July 6, 2019
Clearly no woman has loved him and 'deeply connected' with him - else he would have got a massive kick on his nuts for his defence of violence in the name of love.
.@anupamachopra - this director is more toxic than #KabirSingh https://t.co/NvQBP9plZK
Well, what are your views about the interview?
