His next project is a dance film and is a debut collaboration for the two actors who cannot be beaten by anyone in Bollywood on the dance floor. The fans are naturally eager for the film. During a recent interview with GQ magazine, Hrithik said he was getting complacent and believed that only Tiger could stand in front of him.
He added, "After doing movies like Kaabil and Super 30, I needed a force that would drive me to be my best. I was getting too complacent, and I felt only Tiger had the power to stand in front of me and make me look like a piece of sh*t. I don't think anyone else would've ignited me the way he has."
Hrithik also disclosed that he is consciously choosing films that ignite him deeply. He said, "I'm not a very good actor, I'm not the fittest guy. I'm the opposite of these things, so movies for me are a very difficult thing [to make]. It takes a lot out of me to do the simplest things that other actors do instinctively. That's why I need to find stories that fuel me to go through the entire process to wake up at 6 o'clock, to take the aching back, knees, shoulders, the broken bones and do what I do," added Hrithik.
The movie will be directed by Siddharth Anand and will be produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The movie is yet to be titled and also stars Vaani Kapoor. This untitled film is set to release on October 2
