It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to state that actor Shahid Kapoor is at the peak of his career. He has a slew of films lined up for release. In most of his previous films, the actor proved his mettle and had literally shut the big mouths of his critics. His next film, “Batti Gul Meter Chaalu” is ready for release and he is gaga over it. He is open to opinions, he is open to people talking about him but at the same time, he knows what opinion should he give importance to and which one he should just ignore. Quips he, “There are certain jobs which are very public in nature and anyone will definitely have an opinion on it. Comparing the diverse emotions of people with the volley of arrows in one scene from the film Baahubali, he said, “It is life a thousand of arrows that are shot at you. If you become conscious about every arrow or you keep a count of every arrow that is coming on to you, you are dead!

“You have to understand the nature of the job that you are in and also you have to know how to deal with that scenario.”

However, he knows it for a fact that there are certain kind of opinions he should take into consideration; asserts he, “Most of the opinions are different from each other but if a maximum number of opinions are coming from a specific zone, then you must take it seriously because when so many people possess the same opinion, it must be accepted.

The bearded stud went on to explain why it doesn’t make sense to take every opinion into concern. Revealed he, “If I listen to everything that I said, I won’t be having any vision or point of view of my own and I will end up losing my identity. It is very important to hold on to your sense of identity because there is only one you, and when you represent yourself whether you are right or wrong, you will always be original and unique. I think being right or wrong is a part of everyone’s career trajectory, but to find your own face and have a voice of your own is the most important fundamental aspect and I think that can only happen when you back yourself with your belief.

Stressing on the fact that one must enjoy his job, a philosophical Shahid furthered, “There are certain things that drive you both personally and professionally and if you stop doing those things, you stop enjoying what you do, it is very important to enjoy what you do. Therefore, you must always do what you set out to do, the reason why you embarked on the journey should never be forgotten, you will surely learn new things as you go along and you will evolve but you have to back yourself to do what you have set out to do originally.
