India's Best Dancer To Restart Shoot From 13 July, Without Live Audience And Stunts-Based Performances
India's Best Dancer Shoot To Begin In July
Updated : June 30, 2020 02:49 PM ISTThe coronavirus pandemic induced lockdown had crippled the entertainment industry. No new serials were being aired, the serials that were on air were stalled and no new episodes were being aired The TV industry remained numb for more than three months!
And now, with the lockdown restrictions being eased, the TV shoots are beginning to shoot again. The reality shows mostly depend on a live audience but post the COVID-19 situation, they are in for a big change.
Sony TV’s India’s Best Dancer, judged by Geeta Kapur, Malaika Arora and Terence Lewis, and hosted by Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, is expected to be one of the first reality shows to resume shoot and will be back on TV from the third week of July.
Producer Ranjeet Thakur told Mumbai Mirror, there will be no live audience. He has been quoted as saying, "We will miss their energy, but there will be a better equation between the judges and the contestants as the former will be the sole spectators”. The number of the crew has been slashed from 500 to 160-180. Every department will have different areas and their paths will never intersect. He also told Mumbai Mirror that the zero physical touch rule has been applied on the sets.
Further, he has also revealed, there will be no stunt-based performances for the first four weeks so that the men who are required to supervise these acts will not be needed hence minimising manpower and that only six contestants will be permitted to stay in the stage area and once they are done with their performance, they will move to another area and the other six contestants will enter.
He further went on to state point-blank, no family member will be allowed on set and whatever interaction is supposed to happen will happen only through video or voice calls. Gloves, masks and face shields are mandatory. He also stated that the sets will be sanitised at intervals.
Thakur went on to state that everyone on the floor will be insured, which includes the contestants' crew, judges and the hosts. It has also been reported that the rehearsals will be beginning from 1st July, ’20 and that there will be a few changes as far as the choreographers are concerned because they will be busy looking after their own family.
